Sunlinx Camper Terms & Conditions

Sunlinx Campers is a trading name of SARL Snowlinx Transfers and will be referred to here-forth as "Sunlinx". The customer will be referred to as the "Renter"

Documents required for rental:

  • Valid European driving licence for each insured driver (held for a minimum of 5 years)

  • Valid European Passport for each insured driver

  • Water, electricity or telephone bill with address corresponding to the ID for each insured driver

 

Payment conditions:

  • 25% online payment by credit or debit card to reserve your vehicle

  • Remaining 75% payment by credit or debit card on collection of your vehicle

  • Credit card or cheque deposit of €2000 to cover any loss/damage covered

  • This deposit will be refunded, less fees determined throughout these Terms & Conditions

  • Credit card details will be kept on file for up to two months in case of delayed expenses incurred as a result of infractions committed during the rental period

  • The Renter gives Sunlinx the permission to debit their credit card any extra charges incurred upon return of the vehicle, or indeed delayed charges that occur as a result of infractions committed during the rental period

 

Contract:

  • The cost of the rental will be completely pre-agreed before any payment is made.

  • Any subsequent changes to the rental may affect this cost

  • Once the 25% reservation payment of the vehicle has been made, Sunlinx and the Renter have thereby entered into a contract bound by these Terms & Conditions.

  • Once the 25% reservation payment of the vehicle has been made the Renter will receive confirmation of the booking by email, detailing all necessary information regarding the rental.

  • The Renter must inform Sunlinx immediately of any errors in the confirmation. If an error is present, but not noticed by the Renter, Sunlinx will not be held liable for any costs as a result

  • The pick-up time and date will be agreed in advance of the reservation payment

  • Pick-up/delivery time will usually be between 14:00 and 17:00 on the first day of the rental

  • Return/pick-up time will usually be between 10:00 and 12:00 on the last day of the rental

  • Other pick-up/drop-off times may be arranged at the time of booking, an extra fee may apply

  • Extension of the rental is possible for an extra fee, if the vehicle is available. Fee to be determined at the time of extension.

  • If the rental is cut short for any reason determined by the Renter during the rental period, no refund will be given for days not used

 

Kilometrage:

  • A limit of 300 km per day applies to the rental on a pro rata basis. Example: 7 days rental = 2100 km limit.

  • Supplementary kilometres will be charged at €0.20 per kilometre. For example, if the Renter exceeds the limit by 200km, €40 (200km x €0.20) will be charged on return of the vehicle.

  • Travel outside of Europe (Including United Kingdom) is not permitted

  • Travel anywhere within Europe is permitted

 

Cancellation Policy:

  • Once the 25% reservation payment has been made, Sunlinx cannot cancel the booking without honouring a full refund of the payment.

  • Once the 25% reservation payment has been made, if the Renter cancels the reservation more than 4 weeks before the date of vehicle pick up (regardless of the reason, including travel restrictions due to COVID-19), a refund will be given less €50.

  • Once the 25% reservation payment has been made, if the Renter cancels the reservation between 4 and 2 weeks before the date of vehicle pick up (regardless of the reason, including travel restrictions due to COVID-19), a refund will be given less €100.

  • Once the 25% reservation payment has been made, if the Renter cancels the reservation less than 2 weeks before the date of vehicle pick up (regardless of the reason, including travel restrictions due to COVID-19), no refund will be given and no extra charges will be imposed by Sunlinx.

  • Once the 25% reservation payment has been made, any date amendment to a reservation will be classed as a cancellation and a new reservation must be made.

  • Transfer of reservations to other dates is at the discretion of Sunlinx at the time and depends on availability. Extra charges are likely and will be determined at the time

  • If the Renter must cancel the reservation due to cross border restrictions imposed as a result of COVID-19, we will transfer the reservation to the following year without extra charge.

 

Possible extra fees:

  • €25 fuel administration fee if the vehicle is returned less than full with fuel plus the actual value of the fuel at the time of fuelling. All of our vehicles are Diesel and we advise that you use the Premium Diesel where available

  • Up to €150 cleaning fee, dependent on the condition of the vehicle on return, will be deducted from your deposit. This also applies to the cleanliness of the accessories in the vehicle.

  • €25 admin fee for each speeding fine or other infractions contrary to the Highway Code committed during the rental period plus the actual value of the speeding fine or other infraction will be deducted from your deposit

  • €25 admin fee for loss, theft or damage to accessories plus the actual value of any accessories lost, stolen or damaged will be deducted from your deposit

  • €100 admin fee for damage to any part of the interior or exterior of the vehicle plus the actual value of damage to any part of the interior or exterior of the vehicle will be deducted from your deposit.

  • Credit card or cheque deposit of €2000 to cover any loss, theft or damage outlined in these Terms & Conditions

  • Credit card details and cheques will be kept on file for up to two months in case of delayed expenses incurred as a result of your responsibility of the vehicle.

 

Vehicle Maintenance and Security:

  • The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel

  • The vehicle is to be returned with a full tank of fuel. If not, an administration fee of €25 will apply, plus the actual cost of fuel at the time of fueling.

  • The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of AdBlue, if applicable. It is not necessary to re-fill with AdBlue.

  • The vehicle and all accessories will be supplied fully cleaned inside & out and disinfected against COVID-19.

  • The vehicle and its accessories are to be returned as clean as they were when collected. If not, a cleaning fee of up to €150 will apply.

  • The vehicle engine is to be kept switched off when the vehicle is parked

  • Any dashboard warning lights are to be reported to Sunlinx immediately. If not, a fee may be applicable when the vehicle is returned to Sunlinx.

  • Any vehicle documents must be kept safe in the vehicle. A €25 administration may apply for loss, theft or damage to any vehicle documents plus the value of attaining replacement documents.

  • Loss, damage or theft of the vehicle keys will incur a fee of up to €500

  • Recovery of the vehicle due to loss, damage or theft of the vehicle key will incur a fee to be determined at the time

  • Urgent replacement of the vehicle key will incur a fee to be determined at the time

  • The vehicle is to be used in accordance with the highway code of the country within which you are driving

  • Always switch off the engine, remove the key and lock the vehicle when leaving it unattended. Even at a fuel station

  • The height of the vehicle is 2 metres without a bike rack. With a bike rack and bikes fitted, the maximum height will change according to the size of your bikes. Please be vigilant of this when passing through parking restriction barriers

  • We have a zero tolerance on alcohol and drug consumption before/whilst driving.

  • It is forbidden to seat more passengers than there are seats and safety belts inside the vehicle.

 

Accident, Theft and Breakdown:

  • If any accident occurs, whether involving a third party or not, it must be reported to Sunlinx immediately.

  • If an accident occurs involving a third party, you must fully complete a European accident constat (provided in the vehicle) and report the incident to Sunlinx immediately.

  • In the event of an accident or breakdown in need of immediate repair, the Renter must contact Sunlinx before going ahead with the repairs (Including tyre repairs). If Sunlinx is not consulted prior to repairs it will not be liable for any costs

  • If any breakdown or damage is sustained by the vehicle (even if no repair is required), the Renter must notify Sunlinx by phone and subsequently by email within 12 hours of the breakdown or damage occurring. The same applies even if the breakdown or damage is rectified by the Renter.

  • In the event of a breakdown not attributed to the Renter, Sunlinx agrees to cover the costs of the breakdown recovery service and the repair of the vehicle. If replacement accommodation is necessary, Sunlinx will arrange and pay for this for a maximum of two nights. Sunlinx does not guarantee to pay for accommodation arranged directly by the Renter. Sunlinx will either replace the vehicle with one of its own fleet within 48 hours or refund lost days due to the breakdown. Sunlinx will not reimburse any costs that have not been agreed in advance. Sunlinx will endeavor to do what it can (within the realms of reasonable) to facilitate the Renter in continuing with their holiday.

  • In the event of an accident or breakdown attributed to the Renter, Sunlinx will provide remote advice, but the Renter is liable for any costs to return the vehicle to its original condition.

  • In the event of theft of the vehicle, the Renter must inform Sunlinx and the relevant authorities immediately. A report must be filed with both Sunlinx and the relevant authorities within a reasonable time frame. The keys and any documentation relative to the theft and rental must be returned to Sunlinx within 48 hours.

  • If costs are incurred by Sunlinx in relation to cleanliness, accident, breakdown or theft due to the absence of due care and attention, attributed to the Renter, these costs will be charged to the Renter.
